It is a pleasure to announce Ron Anderson as our new Airshow Director.
Ron Anderson first met Cole Palen in 1962, at the age of 15. Inspired by Cole, he learned to fly in 1964. Ron graduated from Norwich University in 1969, served in the United States Army for three years, and began flying for a living in 1972. For the next 30 years he was based in Nebraska, Wyoming, California, and Connecticut as a flight instructor, airline flight crew training instructor, charter and corporate pilot. He also owned an FBO and served as an airport manager. Ron’s flying has been in many different types of aircraft and environments, including mountain flying, vintage aircraft, and aerobatics. He and his pilot-wife, Jean, live in Ghent, NY, where they base their personal aircraft. In 2008, ORA's famous flying farmer, Stan Segalla, encouraged Ron to join the airshow team at Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. The wheel does come full circle.
We are pleased to have such a highly qualified and experienced person direct our airshows.
