In February, Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome was graciously invited to participate in the 2010 Westchester Radio Aero Modelers show in White Plains N.Y.. Volunteers brought the 1914 Morane Saulnier N to the show, where it was displayed on the stage. Old Rhinebeck volunteers spoke with many people at the show, all of whom expressed great interest in the aerodrome. Special thanks goes out to Danny Carozza for inviting ORA, and the many volunteers who made it happen, including Mike DiGiacomio, Bill King, Jim Record, Larry “Boom Boom” Burke, James Salzano, Steve LoPresti, Phil Montel, Karl Sipperly and the many modelers who assisted loading and unloading the truck at the center. Special thanks to Paul Savastano for the beautiful museum restoration done on the Morane a few years back.
