Waltham, Massachusetts U.S.A. "The car you’ll be proud to own" The Metz was advertised as the winner of the Glidden Tour. This tour was an eight-day competition of endurance over challenging terrain. The Metz was also known as the "Gearless Car" with "No clutch to slip – no gears to strip." Under ordinary conditions a Metz driver could travel anywhere from 28 to 82 miles on a tank of gas, 100 miles on a pint of oil and 10,000 to 12,000 miles on a set of tires. Selling price in 1914 for the Metz 22 was $475. |
