| Thanks to Peter Truesdell of the Cradle
of Aviation Museum, Howard Kelem, Jimmy Russell, Sal Calvagna and the Long Island Aero Radio Society we now have a full-scale
reproduction of the famous 1903 Wright Flyer in our Pioneer Museum Building. The
Wright was built by Mr. Kelem and the August Martin High School class of
Jamaica, Queens, NY in the 1970s. It was displayed at
Kennedy airport's main terminal and later found its way to the Cradle of Aviation
Museum where it was exhibited for several years. |
